Liz Brisson loves cities, especially Oakland. She is a District 3 resident with ten years of Bay Area transportation experience in the public sector (described further in this Reddit AMA). In her day job in San Francisco, she currently manages a team planning major rail and bus corridor investments and project manages the Geary Rapid project. She co-founded Transport Oakland in 2014 and led the organization’s advocacy culminating in the successful creation of the Oakland Department of Transportation two years later. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Organizational Studies from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
